Genesis 1: 28
"And God blessed them. And God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply
and fill the earth and subdue it and have dominion over the fish of the
sea and over the birds of the heavens and over every living thing that
moves on the earth.”" (ESV)
Rh bill supporters claimed here that God himself said to the first humans that the population should be controlled.
This verse in Genesis is the one RH bill supporters misinterpret. A very very simple verse.
God said that be fruitful and multiply. We should fill the Earth and subdue it. The question is: What do we need to subdue/control? The "Earth itself" or the "population of the Earth"? What is the meaning of the word "subdue"?
Subdue is to control.
Subdue is to control.
Let us answer this question. Of course with explanation.
God said, "fill the earth and subdue IT. The word IT is a pronoun. What is pronoun?
In linguistics and grammar, a pronoun (Lat: pronomen) is a pro-form that substitutes for a noun (or noun phrase), such as, in English... (Source: Wikipedia: Pronoun)
Pronoun substitutes a noun. Then what word substitutes IT?
...the words it (substituting for the name of a certain object) and she (substituting for the female name of a person). (Source: Wikipedia: Pronoun)
Back to the verse, "fill the earth and subdue it". What word substitutes the word IT? The word earth right?

A very very simple sentence right?? Why does Rh bill supporters cannot understand this verse?
Also, a human logic and common sense should also be applied in this verse. If there are no humans, who will control the Earth? Who will subdue IT?
Hay naku pakulo ng mga ORCS yang RH Bill na yan pero kung isa kang Sociologist nako masasabi mo na hindi talaga yan kailangan..Sa mga Urban City lang ang over-populated pero pumunta sila sa Apari or sa Jolo or kahit sa mga remote provinces lang siguro nagmimistulang ghost town ang mga bayan na ito..Alam natin kaya lumolubo ang Population sa mga Urban City kasi yung mga taga probinsya nag babakasakali na may mga mabubuting Trabaho silang makukuha.Pero at the end WALA SILANG TRABAHO na makukuha at the Worst magiging Squatters na sila dahil sa kakaasa na may mabuting PALAD pa sila dadanasan at hanggang maka pag buo na sila ng isang PAMILYA..Kaya yan talaga ang prblema..

Hindi naman Solution ang RH BILL eh ang solution lahat ng mga probinsyano na nasa mga Urban City pabalikin sa probensya bigyan ng Kabuhayan doon ng saganon stable ang income at pamumuhay nila.Government should educate then about Cooperative businesses and other form source of income not sacrificing our moral for this BILL..
About Maternal Deaths?? Why should we need this bill?? The problem is let the government provide the Medical Personnel to handle this during the birthing not this Bill. Contraception is the answer?? LOL di binigyan na rin nila ng pas-anin yung Tao side effect ng mga Contraceptives so tablado pa rin..
Kaya this is a very simple solution yet very hard to apply..Why we need sacrifice a life and our morality for the sake of extravagant result?? It is because human life is not precious to those material thing?? then they must think trice of this..
When I was on Japan they have same Law like this bill and they plan to withdraw it because the Population rate of Japan was declining every year maybe not because of their law but also their suicidal culture..So don't let this happens to our COUNTRY before it too late.
